Monica (Sydney)

Therapy Supervisor (NEW)

Monica is a Therapy Supervisor at Lizard Centre with more than 17 years of experience supporting children, young people and adults.

She is a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) and has experience working both as a Registered Behaviour Technician (RBT) and as a case supervisor. Throughout her career, Monica has worked with people aged 2–28 with a wide range of abilities, needs and goals.

Monica loves that every day at Lizard looks different. One of the most rewarding parts of her work is seeing the moment when a new skill “clicks” for a child and watching their excitement when they realise they can do something independently.

For families beginning their journey with Lizard, Monica encourages them to be patient with themselves as well as their child. Learning new skills and new ways of doing things can take time, and it’s okay for there to be a learning curve along the way.

Outside of work, Monica loves spending time with her family and going on adventures with her two young children. She also enjoys knitting and has made everything from sweaters to socks – many of which she proudly wears herself.
