Jess (Adelaide)

Jess (Adelaide)

Therapy Supervisor (NEW)

Jess is a Therapy Assistant at Lizard Centre and has been part of the Lizard team for nearly seven years.

She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychological Science and is currently completing a Master of Applied Behaviour Analysis. Jess is also certified as a Registered Behaviour Technician (RBT) equivalent through the Association for Behaviour Analysis Australia.

Jess works with children and adolescents aged 3–14, supporting a wide range of individual needs and goals. Her work can include developing communication, social and academic skills, with sessions taking place at home, at school and in the community. No two days look quite the same – she might go from supporting a student in a high school science class to playing dolls with a younger child just a few hours later.

What Jess loves most about her work is seeing children develop new skills and achieve goals that may have initially felt difficult. She takes a calm and compassionate approach and particularly enjoys hearing from families about the progress they’re seeing outside of sessions.

Her advice to families starting at Lizard is to share what matters most to them and their biggest aspirations for their child. From there, the team can work together towards those goals, one step at a time.

Outside of work, Jess is an avid fantasy reader and can often be found browsing a bookshop or curled up on the couch with a good book. She’s also a big Stranger Things fan and loves re-watching episodes whenever she gets the chance.
