Anna (Melbourne)
Therapy Supervisor
Anna is a Therapy Supervisor based in Melbourne with over 10 years of experience with the Lizard Centre, supporting children and adolescents (ages 2 – 16) with autism spectrum disorder and related developmental conditions. She has experience working across home, school, clinic, and community settings.
Anna holds a Bachelor of Science (Psychology) from the University of Sydney and a Master of Education (Applied Behaviour Analysis) from Monash University. She is also an NDIS-registered Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner at the advanced level.
Anna is passionate about working with children, their families, and their wider support systems to build meaningful, essential life skills. Her areas of focus include functional communication and self-advocacy, tolerance and emotional regulation, prerequisite learning skills, and functional daily living skills. She values working in a field where her work has a meaningful impact on the lives of the children and families that she supports.
Success story – Anna had a teenage PBS client who historically engaged in dangerous behaviours that placed him and others at significant risk. Through working with his family to understand his behaviour, and systematic teaching of self-regulation, independent leisure and planning skills, he is now independent in these areas.
During a session, he spontaneously shared his plan for an upcoming day at his grandparents’ – a powerful marker of generalisation and independence.
