Angela (Sydney)

Clinical Program Lead - Speech

Angela is the Clinical Program Lead for Speech Pathology at Lizard Centre, bringing extensive experience across speech pathology, clinical assessment and child development.

She holds a Master of Speech Pathology and is a Certified Practising Speech Pathologist with Speech Pathology Australia. Her areas of interest include communication and language development, Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), and supporting children with feeding challenges.

Angela works primarily with children and young people with autism, developmental differences and complex communication or feeding needs. Alongside working with children and families, she provides clinical leadership and mentoring to Lizard’s wider team and supports the ongoing development of Speech Pathology services.

Angela is passionate about helping every child find their own way to communicate and connect. She believes communication is about much more than words – it’s about being able to share, make choices, join in, ask for help and feel heard and understood.

Her approach is centred around a simple philosophy: Your child. One team. One plan. She believes families should feel supported by a team that communicates, works together and builds a shared plan around what matters most to their child.

Outside of work, Angela enjoys spending time with her family around Sydney’s Northern Beaches, ocean swimming, walking, cycling and travelling. She has also recently taken up golf – although she admits she’s still learning to bring her clinical patience onto the golf course!
